Having issues with mine Sims on CD

Question

So, I bought Sims3 on CD for very very cheap with few expansions and realized it was a mistake.

None of the mods work, the map terrain is not visible when I try to see map from far away.

Is there any way to patch the game version? Or how can I update it? When I insert base game CD it just automaticly turns the game on. My games version is 10.0.96.013001.

Should I just give up and buy EA Game key version as the steam version is ridiculusly pricely where I come from?

I will apriciate if somone actually took time to help me as I don't want to spend money again LOL.

typowygracz277​&nbsp; You can download the Super Patch from EA to manually patch the game to 1.67, the last patch for disc installs (and effectively fully updated, as 1.69 doesn't change the game itself).&nbsp; Some browsers flag this link, as it starts with http rather than https, but you can see from the URL that it points directly to EA servers:
http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3_1.67.2.0240xx_update.exe
Run the patch to update the game, and delete Options.ini in Documents &gt; Electronic Arts &gt; The Sims 3, then let me know which problems are still present.
