Having issues with sims 3 university life

Question

So I got the sims 3 university life EP two days ago, and ive been playing it since. I made a young adult female sim (Serena) that i spent a lot of time on and moved her into a neighborhood and enrolled her in Fine Arts. Her first term went very well, and she even got a girlfriend who she clicked very well with. After Serena went home after her first term, I tried to invite her girlfriend over so that they could move in together and get married. This is when the first issue kicks in.

I wasn’t able to invite her over to my house. I tried inviting her over via Serena’s phone, then her home phone, but every time she tried inviting her over, It would only give the option to invite one of Serena’s other friends over and not her girlfriend. I got frustrated, and just reenrolled Serena back into Uni in her same dorm as last time.

I was able to talk to her girlfriend again, luckily. But this is the second annoying issue. I wasn’t able to enter the dorm. I was able to rent the dorm, but not enter. It wasn’t locked, tried locking and unlocking the front door but it just wouldn’t work. I couldn’t change the “wall mode” either. The walls were acting as if they were a house ive never entered before and were very high, so i couldn’t do anything about that either even though my wall mode was set to low.

I was only able to get in after a random npc had opened the door and i paused the game and had Serena manually walk in that way. The wall issue hasn’t been fixed and it’s getting in the way, it’s really annoying. I cant exit the building without having to have her walk manually outside, then when i want her to go back in the dormitory i have to do the process i did before again.

My save file that Ive worked really hard in, is bugged. It’s so annoying. I haven’t saved my progress either, I’m afraid if i do save it now I’ll just seal the glitch in more. The parties I attended even before were bugged, me not being able to interact with any kegs or anything.

I have no mods installed AT ALL. No CC other than 2 clothing items and two hairs (three of the items i dont even use!) and the EPS i have are High end loft stuff, SN, PETS, SEASONS, GEN, and I believe that’s all. None of those packs have had any significant affects in my world, so i’m stuck. I think I’m just going to have to save and/or delete the world, or at least take a break. If someone can at least relate to this issue or have a fix, I’ll gladly listen. 🙁

@AgentBlissy&nbsp; It sounds like something may have gone wrong with either this instance of the University world or the travel transition.&nbsp; Can you revert to a save from before your sim went back for this term?&nbsp; If so, please try traveling again.

If you don't have that option, please let me know whether you're willing to use mods, at least temporarily.&nbsp; If not, can you move your sim to a different lot within the world?&nbsp; I actually don't remember whether it's possible once you've already chosen a place to live.&nbsp; (The option would be somewhere under cell phone &gt; Real Estate and Travel Services.)&nbsp; The other option would be to have your sim drop out and go home, then travel back and try again.&nbsp; If that particular dorm is still stuck, you could quit without saving, enroll again, and this time choose somewhere else to live.

It sounds like something about the girlfriend is bugged too, but it may not be a big deal.&nbsp; The versions of sims that exist in foreign-to-them worlds, for example the version of a sim from Uni that shows up in your sim's homeworld, are mini-sims, which don't have all the data associated with normal sims.&nbsp; So they can behave in odd ways, and they don't have all the normal options available to them, although you should be able to invite them to visit.

If you want this girlfriend to join your own sim in her homeworld, the only safe way to do that without mods is to invite the girlfriend to move in while your sim is still in the University.&nbsp; The full version of the sim would join your household and come back to your sim's homeworld intact.

I don’t really know how to revert the save from before she moved into Uni again. I’m also not so keen on using mods (I am more okay with using testingcheats), but I will definitely try to move her elsewhere. I also thought about unenrolling and reenrolling her, so I’ll try and do that if I can’t move her.As for the girlfriend issue, I think what I’ll try and do is to just spam good interactions with her until I get to move her in/marry her.
