Hi @puzzlezaddict thank you for your help! I tried moving the sims folder to my desktop but it still gave me the same error. I then created a new admin account but when I try to repair it says there is an installation error. Have you seen this or know what to do? Again thank you so much for your help I appreciate it!
@carlyrulz11 Try uninstalling the EA App, as described here:
Remove these leftover Origin files as well, if they still exist:

Then reinstall the EA App and try again to repair the game, first in your main account and then in the secondary one if that doesn't fix the error.
If that doesn't help, where is Sims 3 installed? If it's in Users > your username > Applications, that would be why the repair isn't working in the other account. You can drag both the Sims 3.app and the "The Sims 3 Packs" folder directly into the main Applications folder, as in, the "Applications" entry in the left panel of a Finder window. They need to be moved together. Then you should be able to repair in the new account.
