I just got a new laptop and re-installed my sims on there but, when I go to press play it says "the license limit for this product has been reached." So, it wont let me play. How do I fix this?

I went and did that but it didnt load, is there anyother way I can fix this?
i'll post this in the helpers corner to see if anyone has other suggestion for you and or to see if you need game /tech help sisnce you say the game won't load
edit to ask are you on a PC or Mac ?
