hi! need computer/M0Dassist(sims3)

anyone? anyone at all?

ok. i think i found a laptop to mod on but i want to be sure before i buy it that it meets the criteria. i looked it up and each site i checked says something slightly different when it comes to required specs so does this one in link below meet them.

I don't feel confident enough to recommend you a computer, sorry. But I can tell you that, if money is not a problem, you should buy a computer with a better graphic card than the one you have linked. And 8GB of RAM would be better also.

thanks for the input on the gb. i overlooked that one. the graphics card however is listed as one of the few to handle mods with any expansion. here's another that's a bit more pricey.

mainly because it's a name brand specifically for hardcore gaming. i know how to mod i just need to get a computer that can handle it. i have all the expansions except for a few but finding a good computer is difficult enough but finding one with these high standards is like mission impossible.

this one says it can be upgraded to 8gb and i wanted to know if saving the everything to a flash drive or even an sd card would be an option if i to change where origin stores my game. i was able to do it before on my acer aspire without mods. i lagged a little but was still very good and wen i changed the graphics setting it got better.

this is for a desktop. i read the specs but i'm never really sure wen it comes to this stuff. i'm only at nerd level and i need geek assistance. lol  😢

Why do you think you need a super powerful computer to create Mods? So long as the computer can run The Sims 3 you will be able to create Mods on it too. Creating Mods doesn't require a powerhouse 🙂

i'm told that it crashes the computer/game if it's not up to par and i did do it right but my game crashed on my acer aspire before it finished loading. the game plays fine without them but as soon as the mods were plugged in it crashed before it made the main menu. after i undid them, the game was back to working order.

Ok, so you don't actually want to make Mods you just want to add them to your game? Please can you clarify.

If your game is crashing when you add Mods that indicates that the Mod is not compatible with the game. Can you list the NRaas Mods you are trying to use?

i'm just adding them to my game. i tried with these base mods as listed on the nraas website.

this was about 6 months ago. i used their website how to as well as youtube videos for visual reference and confirmation that it was done correctly. wen that was done i started the game and it crashed while loading. i reset my acer aspire to factory setting and reinstalled my games. when that was done i tried again and it happened a second time. that's when i started looking into it from a more fundamental approach. there were websites that listed certain specifications for computers that can handle running a game with mods downloaded into it. i've been trying to get an expert to assist but i don't know anyone who mods the sims personally and finding anyone who mods is easy but getting an honest opinion is proving rather difficult. i load my game from an sd card wen i use my acer but that's because i need to get my main laptop repaired. i wonder if that has anything to do with this. if you mod the sims or can recommend someone for insight. i just want to know what specific type of computer are people using to mod their game with and how that seems to work out for them so i can go back to the websites and figure out where it is that i'm going wrong.
