Household disappears
I went to the university when I was graduated I came back to my hometown. However once returned my household seems to not exist anymore. My house is empty and my sim seems to be disappeared. I can't ...
@Assiditty The travel transition is delicate and often fails, at least without mods. When it does, the result is that your sim(s) didn't make it home. The only thing to do at this point is to quit without saving and try again. Sometimes it just takes a second try to get through the transition, although sometimes it keeps failing. If that's the case for you, let me know, and I'll post instructions for how to lower the stress on the game engine as much as possible to try to get through it.
If you've already saved, you'll need to restore a backup save first, because there's nothing you can do with the borked save. Go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves, and you'll see a folder with your save name, plus a folder with your save name and a .backup extension. So if your save is called SunsetValley, you'll see SunsetValley.sims3 and SunsetValley.sims3.backup. Rename the backup and delete the extension (e.g. SunsetValley1.sims3), and it will be available to load at the Main Menu. It's best to use "save as" to rename the save as soon as you load it, so you can experiment on the new copy while preserving the other as a backup in case you need it later.
@Assiditty It sounds like there was enough data to salvage playable sims, although I'd still be worried about save corruption. It's a good idea to use "save as" to make a backup copy of the save now, in case you notice any issues going forward.
