How can I install The Sims 3 without a disc?

I bought The Sims 3 Plus Supernatural, and I redeemed the game codes on thesims3.com, and I have the 2 discs, but my laptop doesn't have a disc player, and I looked all over the website, but there is no way to directly download The Sims 3. Please help! 😕mileysad:

  • if you have a usb cd player you can install your game that way install sims3 base game first then install the supernaturel you will only need the supernaturel disc to play then or are your  games registered with origin ? if so go to origin go to "my games" you can dowload the digital version of your game there

@Reeses2016 once the computer is fired up and the disk is i the drive the auto run exe should start up if not then on your computer find the drive for the usb drive-clcik on the drive for the files to open -find the auto run file click on tha to run and install the game OR if your game is registered then download Origin to your computer once it's downloaded and installed  then from the shortcut icon of Origin log in with the email and password you use for your account and download the digital version of your game instead

make sure to get the right version of Origin PC or Mac  https://www.origin.com/en-us/download

  • If you have registered your CD keys to thesims3.com, then just install Origin.  You'll be able to download and play any of your registered Sim games through it without needing disks.

I don't know if you figured out your problem or not. But, my computer also doesn't have a built in DVD/CD-ROM drive. If you go to Walmart they have an external one you can buy at a good price. Mine only cost me about $35- $38 somewhere in that price range. It's in a white box and says CD and DVD writer on it. But it is used for more than that. When you buy and get home you will need to do the following to make it work, as a DVD/CD-ROM drive to be able to download games and other stuff you want to download.

There is a white cord, which the whole thing is white. But, take the main cord and plug it into your first USB slot (the one closet to you) then take the other cord and cross over the main cord and put it in the next USB slot. Make sure that its crossed over the other cord or it won't work right. Put in the disk it comes with to install. Follow the directions, and make sure you install the disk, I didn't and can't play DVDs. Which I still have the disk, I just haven't gotten around to installing the disk.

Every time you want to download a game or whatever, be sure that the wires are crossed over the other to be able to install it. And remember the put the main cord in the USB slot closet to you and cross the other one over it and into the next USB slot. You will be able to look at the cords and tell which one is the main cord. The one that isn't the main one shorter than the main one. I hope this has been of some help to you and anyone else who has the same problem. Also, the external DVD/CD-ROM drive is located usually with the computer games at Walmart That's where it is at the Walmart I go to is.
