how do i fix sims3 files. please help

@Kenzie_Simming_ There are two separate issues here. One is the icon you see on .package files. But this isn't a real problem, it's just Windows showing you the default file association, as in, the app that Windows will use to open the file if you double-click it. A blank icon means there is no default app at all.
There's no easy way to "fix" this: Windows doesn't allow you to reset the file association to "none." But like I said, it's not a problem. As long as you don't actually try to open the files, Sims 3 will be able to use them regardless of what Windows thinks they are.
So the question becomes why your mods and custom content aren't showing in-game. Just to make sure you haven't accidentally opened and therefore damaged some of the files, please download a fresh copy of one mod, install it, and see whether it shows up in-game. Remove all the other mods and cc files for now: it's important to test this file by itself first. Be sure to delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 user folder (the folder that contains your saves, mods, etc.) as well:
- CASPartCache.package
- compositorCache.package
- scriptCache.package
- simCompositorCache.package
- socialCache.package
If this mod does NOT show up in-game, please post a screenshot of the contents of the folder it's in, as in, I'd like to see the mod listed in that folder. Include the address bar, above the list of files, in the screenshot.
