How to create a sim in sims 3 ambitions on iPad air 2

I'd just download the game but the problem consist in when I try to create my sim I can't follow playing because for more pushes that I give to the tickle it doesn't work I'm kind of tired cause I've been doing this for at less three hours please help me!!!! I'm desperate.... And well when I downloaded the game there were so many reviews about that the game was awful and it doesn't work but I really thought that their mobiles were the problem but now I see that is the game or I think so.....
