blunote00, I just thought I'd let you know that after all this time I finally have a working mods folder under documents! I have tried before but it has never worked and the last try it crashed my game.
I've since done a full uninstall/reinstall, a few months ago, I think that May be the difference, I'm not really sure though. It did fix all my other issues though.
I deleted the old Mods folder under my computer (which worked). Created the new one under documents, added the new .cfg file and the 1 custom peggy skin, that's all the mods I have. Deleted all the .cache files including world caches. Restarted my computer. The skin is showing and no crashing. Thanks! Now at least if I decide to I May use another Mod, I'll see.
I do have one question, though it may have already been answered I haven't gone through this whole thread - Can I use subfolders under documents / Mods ?
For instance Sims3/ Mods/ Packages/
Skins
Hair
other mods
thanks
