Since EA provided an "official" location where they recognize cc/mods with
Game Update for 1.12/2.7/3.3 back on 05/28/2010, more and more 3rd party developers / cc creators are designing their content so it works with the new framework.
So I would say if you haven't changed it yet you might as well as we are coming up on a year since the original announcement. Your profile states you have Ambitions but I will just assume your game is fully patched. If it isn't and you plan on getting the next EP, you will have to patch your game.
