How to install Sims 3 on Windows 8
I purchased The sims 3 starter pack. I put "The Sims 3 disk in and nothing happened. No autorun install popped up so I manually went into the cd drive and opened the sims 3 file and clicked on setup....

open the disc, not autoplay, locate sims3setup.exe and right click and click run as administrator.
its a security issue with win 8. permissions to install and stuff...

i tried right clicking on Sims3Setup- run as administrator, but then a little message pops up that says "Uninstallation cannot continue because programs associated with The Sims 3 are currently running. Please stop these applications before attempting to uninstall The Sims 3." I don't know what applications it is talking about, or why it says uninstall?
