@supern0vaea Right, what you did was remove all the user-installed and -created content at once, as it's all stored in the folder you moved. It's still intact, just not being read by the game. The fact that Sims 3 loads without any content present means that something in the old folder was the problem.
What you can do now is move your content from the old Sims 3 folder to the new one in batches, testing each time to make sure the game still loads. Test your mods and custom content first, then other files like the Library entries; leave your saves for last. Here's a list of everything you'll find in the user data folder:
i tried to do so and not even the launcher would open and then it deleted my whole mods folder??? 😕🤨
@supern0vaea If you moved some content to the new Sims 3 folder and the launcher wouldn't open, then either something you moved is the problem, or there's another function interfering with the folder itself. Do you have OneDrive running and set to automatically sync the contents of Documents? Here's how to check, and prevent syncing if necessary:
Be sure to make a copy of any files in Documents that you want to keep locally, because otherwise they might get removed from your hard drive. Or you can redownload them from OneDrive later.
