i can't get mods for the sims 3 64bit and metal

I have an M2 mac mini running mac os Sonoma, and have had good success with running the sims 3 64 bit and metal on it but my worst problems i have faced is that I CANT GET MODS TO WORK i have done it the way i have always done it on pc and even old macs but it has not worked

I have also ran into a red screen visual  glich sometimes when on the 2nd floor or higher

  • @MrMicMe  Thanks for the info.  Resource.cfg needs to be directly in Mods, not inside Overrides.  Make sure you delete scriptCache.package (again) as well.

  • @MrMicMe  Please post a screenshot of the folder that contains the mods, as in, I'd like to see the files themselves.  Additionally, right-click one of the mods and select Get Info, then list the file location, listed as Where.

Please also let me know whether iCloud Drive is enabled on this computer, and if so, whether Desktop & Documents is selected.  You can find the settings under System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud [on the left] > iCloud Drive Options.

For the red screen, try enabling object hiding, which is a check box included with the other graphics options.  Change the setting at the Main Menu and quit to desktop before loading a save.
