michellefree89 Thanks for the dxdiag. Please remove Mono Patcher, which is crashing, and in fact remove your entire Mods folder. Then repair the game (EA App > Sims 3 > Manage > Repair).
If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall .NET Framework 3.5. Click Windows key-R, enter appwiz.cpl in the run box, click "Turn Windows features on or off," and you'll see the .NET runtimes near the top of the list. Click the filled-in box to uninstall .NET 3.5, and restart your computer. Repeat the process, clicking the now-empty box to reinstall, and restart. If the box is already empty, simply install and restart.
If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall your 2005 x86 VC++ runtime. Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, click the 2005 version (it won't say x86, but it's fine as long as it does NOT say x64), and uninstall. You can get a new version here:

You only need the x86 version, not the other two. Restart your computer (again) after installing and before trying to play.
