@asyaogrunc Yes, download the world from YouTube again, and install it, and load the game to the Main Menu (where you choose to load a save or start a new one). If you can load your old save at the Main Menu, go ahead and do that. If you can't load your old save, click New Game, choose that new world if it's available, and let me know whether it loads. You don't need to save your progress.

@asyaogrunc Try recovering the backup version of your old save. Go here:
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Saves
and you'll see a folder with your save name and a second one with the same name and a .backup extension, as in, SaveName.sims3 and SaveName.sims3.backup. Rename the backup and delete the .backup extension (e.g. SaveName1.sims3), and that will be available to load at the Main Menu.
If you can load this backup, let the game clock run for a couple of sim-minutes, then use "save as" to rename the save again. This will preserve the original backup in case you need it later. Using "save" overwrites the existing data; "save as" creates an entirely new save without touching the old one.
