I would try a game advisor again. It's weird that your base game does not show as registered which is necessary if you have the Starter Pack with Origin requirement.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty weird too. After spending MUCH time messaging with three different advisors, my ultimate answer was to re-purchase a digital copy and return the disc because there is something wrong with it. I really hope I don't run into all these types of issues when EPs for Sims 4 are released... With all the problems I've been having with The Sims 3, SimCity Complete Edition, SimCity 4, and The Sims Bundle for IOS, I'm starting to feel I can't trust EA anymore. I never had any issues with Sims 1 & 2, or SimCities 2000 & 3000. I don't understand why only their console games work properly.
