I NEED HELP. sims 3 save lost and i have renamed the file

Right, Hello

I just Installed sims 3 pets and into the future, and i was just loading my game as normally and then it just took me to new game home screen. So i went straight to Google and searched my question. It told me to change my Sunset valley.sims3 backup file to just Sunset Valley.Sims 3 and delete the main one. nothing happend? 😕mileysad: hope there is a way of recovering my file

    What is your base game version right now ?

    Open the launcher and check the number in the lower left corner.

    Was that .sims file recently created or has it always been in there ?

    My base game version is 1.67.2.024002 

    and the file i dont really check my files but the save that i am trying to recover is from when is started playing sims 3 so it might have always been there. I don't know though 😕mileyfrustrated:

    I think i might just give up and make a new game, aslo my cc has gone i did just download the new patch is there away of getting it back or not ?????????

    Depends if you still have a backup somewhere.

    Store content can be redownloaded through your purchase history-

    New game sounds good to me. Do remvoe that .sims file. That's an old one and I doubt it will work.

    Thanks so much i am just starting a new game it is sims and you can just re-create anything anyway. i have downloaded of the sims 3 resource, it is all in the downloads folder. But i am sure i will be able to get it back lol thanks
