If I buy Sims 3 University Life through the installing method

I am about to buy Sims 3 University Life on my HP Envy, but there isn't a disc-slot on my laptop, do I have to buy from the SIms Store, the Mac/PC Download instead of the Mac/PC Physical?

Well if you dont have a disk slot, you would need to buy the download. But from Origin.
