I think this script error is affecting the ability to play the game.
Got the script error yesterday, but could still play the game...as of one hour ago the game locks up when launched (black screen with blue circle logo). Also the launcher is unresponsive (installing and uninstalling content will also freeze the launcher)

This is just for testing purposes to see if the game itself works.
If you bought the base game after September 2012, this method will not work.
I have received the same script error and have said yes, no and just closed the box, but every time I go to play the game two of my Sims are invisible! But the green diamond still floats above them when I click on each character, and their thoughts and speech are still coming up. Literally just the character. I have unistalled and reinstalled, I have followed the instructions on the ReadFirst, still not working! Really confused ☹️
The game works fine. It's just annoying when I am playing the Sims 3 game and decide to go into Buy Mode, I start seeing store items that I could purchase in the upper right hand corner of the screen. I have never seen this before. Is there a way to turn off the store from doing this?
You can turn the ingame store off in your game options.
Thank you for letting me know how I can stop the EA store ads from interrupting my game by changing something in Options. I wanted to click on Solved but the tab is missing.
