Installing Origin for only one user account on PC

@ladygreeneyes649 Games, and Origin, are typically installed into Program Files (x86), the contents of which are not account-specific. So even if you install Origin into a different account, it will likely detect your Sims 3 install and try to update it. As long as you're watching closely, you can cancel the update before it finishes, and your install should be fine, but Origin may keep trying. You can reduce the frequency of the attempts by disabling auto game updates in Origin: hover over your username, select Application Settings, and under Application (the first header), scroll down to Client update to see the option.
The other thing you can do, once Sims 2 is installed, is put Origin in offline mode. It then wouldn't be able to download any updates. You can still launch your games while in offline mode—even if the game library doesn't load, which it should, you can sign into Origin and then launch from a game's .exe.
