InstallShield Installation wizard when i update the sims says i don't have it !!!

hello guys 

i have a problem InstallShield Installation wizard when i install the new update which is 1.55.4

it says: (the setup has detected that no version of the sims 3 is installed. this update requires that a pervious version of the  applications be installed.)

and by the way InstallShield Installation  wizard is in disk C and the sims is in disk D

does this make a different???

note:the update before this i uninstall the sims and update it and it works but now i don't know what is the problem:catmad:

    ok thanks i found ahow to fix this

    i copy the folder electrinic art from documents

    and i put it in another place and i delete the real one then i install it again and i copy every thing in its place

    ^_^

    i hope that every one have the same problem will now be fixed ^_^

    i've got the same problem... and i tried it via the laucher and later i tried to download the superpatch but i get the same error

    • What's your operating system ?
    • How did you buy the base game ? As download or DVD ? Through Steam or Origin ? 
    • Do you have it installed on the default path ?

    i'm Dutch so i'm trying to follw you here, with operating system you mean like windows 7? i've bought the base game as a DVD and i don't understand the last question..:womanembarrassed:

    When installing the game, did you choose a different path to install your game to or did you leave it at what the game suggested ?

    1-32 bit

    2-dvd from a shop

    3-no i put it in D not C

    i have choosen D

    and the install sheild in C
