z0z55 What resolutions do you have available, and what is the native resolution of your Mac? Does the game look the way you want it to in fullscreen mode? You'd need to change the setting, then quit and restart to get the full effect.

Heres a screenshot of the resolutions I have on my mac and game options. I used the incorrect wording, I meant to say that whenever i play, the game always cuts below my hinge which made me think it isn't at the correct resolution. I'm looking for a way to get it under the hinge. Is that possible or am I asking for too much lol. It looks fine in fullscreen but the crop bugs me.
z0z55 Find the Sims 3.app, wherever you've installed the game. (It's the one with the green plumbob icon.) Right-click it and select Get Info, then check the box next to "scale to fit below built-in camera." You would of course do this with the game closed.
An alternative option is to choose the largest size in windowed mode and move the window around until you get the orientation you want, that is if the window is large enough. I'm not sure you can resize the window by dragging the corner (I know it works with Sims 4, but I don't remember about Sims 3), but that's also a possible workaround.
