Karritz thanks for the info - but I don't use mods as they can right a problem before I can find it - and that does not help the creator when I am testing a world. BUt there are people who are also testing that do use the mods and they are also getting freezes. What I am baffled about is the day the patch came out I was finishing up testing 2 worlds I had been testing all week when I finished and the creators were making their finals I went and installed the patch. They both wanted me to look at their finals before they post them in their threads even though I had told them I added the patch. But surpringly I did not have a single incident in these two world. Played each about 2 hours with out a hiccup and both were fully populated and everything.
So I had no qualms about then downloading the next test world and all the rest of the night I played in that town - mostly checking out every single building and what not - but I was in the town for a good Sims 2 weeks and then I started getting an issue with the Vampire lounge which is made off of the EA Vampire lounge - just done inside better. I did fine a stuck couple of sims in one Bar with the elevator stuck and another two sims stuck in the walls on either side of the front door. Keep in mind this is an ea building from BP. But what I managed to do was get every ones name and reset each one and sent them home. But that was my down fall - from that point on I had all sort of lags and up to 1-4 minute freezes. I even removed that lounge entirely - clean my caches, but it kept happening getting longer freezes and happening more often the long I played over another sims 6 weeks and I never again found an actual stuck sim or pet or anything any where. I finally had two really long freezes of 5 minutes each. Then about an hour after those two freeze the game froze and required task manager to get out of it. That one I waited nearly 15 minutes, but it did not come out. This is what prompted me to finally remove that save and start all over in a brand new start, as I figured the first two days I have very few issues. But to no avail because the next new start I tried ,even though there was no issues in the world the game started freezing within minutes of adding a sims family, and these freeze takes task manager to get out of. I am perplexed the most though any game in my pc when I was patched hasn't had an issue - it is the ones I add since I added the patch getting the issues. It makes no difference if it's user created or EA created.
There is no standard time for this but it never once happen during the ingame busy periods - it was very random with really nothing to pinpoint causing it. The restart had no sims in it but my sims family. It was not time for anything in the game schedual - my logs saw nothing nor did my crash analyzer. But then it never actually crashed. Task manager even said it was still running.
I also have another new world besides this one of Rflongs to test, and believe me I am nervous about even trying it - at least until IP comes and I can install it and see if that doesn't connect all the loose end that supposed to tie the IP patch info with the ep and base games - because this really reminds me of programming that is left flapping in the wind with no place to go.
