Island Paradise freezing

I have no mods.

I have no CC.

I have all expansions.

I cleared my cache.

I can play any other town without issues.

I move or create a sim for the town in Paradise Island and I get freeze/lag problems.

About every ten to thirty sim minutes my sim will freeze for about ten sim minutes.

I searched the forums and this seems to be a "routing" issue. The reset sim works for some but only for a little bit before it starts again.

The suggestions that I have gotten all tell me to get a mod to fix this problem. There is one even made specifically for this problem.

I don't want to get a mod. I am hoping EA will fix this. All research indicates people have had this same problem for awhile. If a third party can fix this issue why can't the maker of said game do so.

  • Islo Paradiso does have a lot of problems. Routing issues and the large world with an entire routable ocean are just an example.

    Things you can try:

    • Sims in Slow Motion
    • Delete the Scott Family
    • Use the cheat DiscoverAllUnchartedIslands to make all islands visible. I'm aware that this takes away from the fun but it seems to help some.
    • Make sure you have no stuck sims in your town (use the cheat resetsim * to reset all sims in your town and put them to a safe location)
    • Check for any aboandonned boats in your game and delete them by using testingcheatsenabled true and then shift-click on the boat and choose object-delete.
    • If you're playing Hobart's Hideout, be aware of this issue: Routing Issues in the Resort Hobart’s Hideout
    • General tips for lags: Lags & Intermittent Freezes

I used resetsim * and it worked for a little bit. I deleted the Scott family and used resetsim * and that works longer. The freeze/lag still shows up and but not anywhere as much as it used to.
As I play I will try your other suggestions except for find all uncharted islands. That just happens to part of her LTW.

    Thank you

    🙂
