Issue redeeming Sims 3 World codes

Hi,

Not sure what’s going on, so hoping someone here can help.

I bought the Sims 3 World Bundle today and got 2 active codes, but I can’t redeem either of them. I tried both codes on these two sites:
store.thesims3
myaccount.ea
Neither site works for me and the codes won’t go through.

Has anyone had this problem before? Is there another place to redeem Sims 3 world bundle codes, or is this an EA or Sims 3 Store issue?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    This issue should now be resolved, and any existing codes that were not redeemed should now be redeemable. 

    Please try redeeming your codes again now- if you're seeing an error that your code has already been consumed, we'd need to get you with the live support team to process a refund on your purchase. Refunds can't be processed here on the EA Forums, but you can get in contact with live support through the help site here

    I contacted support and they were also unable to redeem my codes, so it seems to be a widespread issue/glitch with the redemption codes for The Sims 3 Worlds Bundle at the moment.

    Support told me they’d forward the info I provided on the issue to EA/generally alert EA that this seems to be a widespread issue that needs to be fixed, and with the number of people starting to post/contact support about it, hopefully they’ll fix it soon. They also told me to keep an eye on the EA forums and whatnot because it’ll likely be announced whenever the issue is fixed. 

  • I’m in the same boat, although I can’t seem to find where you’re able to redeem codes through myaccount.ea at all… it’s also not working for me on store.thesims3, straight up nothing happens. Very anticlimactic.

    I thought I might’ve been clever trying to use ea.com/redeem but it just told me that I need to redeem it to store.thesims3… at this point I’m likely going to submit a help ticket or whatever, but hopefully it’s just a temporary glitch with the website and we can all redeem our codes soon.

    EDIT: Just to add, I’ve tried it on Mozilla, Edge, and specifically downloaded Chrome to try it there too, so it doesn’t seem to be a browser incompatibility issue.

    I contacted EA tech support and they said it can take up to 24 hours for the codes to sync with the servers. I’ll wait and see, but honestly this feels a bit long for a paid product. If it still doesn’t work, I may have no choice but to request a refund.

    This happened to me the other day. They tried to help, but ended up refunding me.
