I've completely broken my The Sims 3 game!
I've had some really silly issues with the game on and off like characters getting "stuck" in houses where they don't belong, or my Sims getting stuck quite literally in walls. Last night this happen...
Try restetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
