Lag within Island Paradise since patch 1.63

Hi I've been having very bad lag within my Island Paradise game since the release of 1.63. Prior to that the game ran brilliantly. I have tried numerous solutions including a drive clean up and a defrag and I have also tried to deactivate the interactive loading screens but I'm still having trouble. I've copied my data onto a flash drive and installed it on my laptop as well and I'm still having trouble. I've tried clearing the cache files and following the Steam forum I've tried resetting my game but I'm still getting the freezes. I don't use any mods or custom content. Can anyone help?

    I've got the cheat code and I tried it on my new game and it seemed ok for about two game days and it mainly froze during the night

    Not sure what else to suggest.

    You might wanna open a thread over at thesims3.com and see if other people can help you out. We pretty much exhausted all I got and maybe a new person has fresh ideas.
