I am still getting the same message, even with a clean EA folder.
Not as bad as before but still getting it.
Edit: Now the store page itself is telling me I haven't purchased anything.
Finally on chat and once again the agent doesn't understand. They think its an issue with the game itself. Even though I specifiy the store.lol
I just remembered something.
The issue started happening after someone tried to gift me a store item. And the purchase didn't go through for some reason.
It took their simpoints, and it shows up in my purchase history but gives me the error I don't own it, when I go to the item's store page. It asks me to buy it.
And that is when all my other items started acting up. I got on live chat and they said they couldn't find any purchase.

@graceymanors That's interesting about the gifted store item. Which one was it, and when (more or less, if you don't know exactly) did this happen? I've been gifted a few items in the past, none of which went through the first time, but it worked in the end and I can download all the items now without trouble. On the other hand, these were all part of sets I was able to complete later, so that may be overriding any problems with gifted items.
As for the items that won't install for you, I don't own all of them, but I was able to successfully download and install the six I tried. I downloaded Farm Fresh Folk MSM Trailblazer, and the wind chimes from my purchase history; and the halter dress, halter top with beads, and faire folk jar from their product pages. All showed up properly for me.
Is there anything these items have in common, for example were they also gifts, or are they older or newer than your other items?

Its a mixture of older and newer items. I keep trying to contact EA on twitter, but they aren't fully understanding my issue, probably because I can't explain it well.

@puzzlezaddict Thank you, as when I contact them, they don't really grasp what I'm saying, I even provided screenshots. I'm at a lost on what to do except for creating a new steam account and rebuying the games all over again.

I remember when I was doing my various store content tests that I once got the Don't Own Item bug. This seems to me, to be more of a EA Sims 3 Store website issue than a Steam issue.
What lead to me getting that bug is trying to download from the item page (Bayside Full Set). Oddly this was just after logging into the store after clearing Edge and IE browser data. I refreshed the page, for troubleshooting purposes, but went to my purchase history page and found the set and it downloaded just fine.
I went through your thread and you didn't mention, that I saw, if you've tried downloading both from the item page and download link in your purchase history page?

I did and it seems a few other people are having this issue as well. I tried contacting EA on twitter, like one of the mods said to do. but EA won't respond to me.

You'll now need to reach out to live support from the help site here rather than Twitter for assistance on this. Please try with live support from the help site again, and be sure to attach this AHQ conversation when you reach out there so live support does have something further to reference when you speak with them.

So for anyone interested who might have my issue.
The agent said
"So I just got this case investigated by the concerned team and am happy to tell you that you’ve nothing to worry about, looks like a few other players have reported this issue as well, however, the good news here is that the studio is already aware of it and is already working on a fix, it’s getting rectified as we speak, thanks for your patience on this one and again do not worry we got your back on this one."

@graceymanors Sorry to say it, but the support rep just told you that to get you off the line, so to speak. This is a very common response to issues they don't know how to fix, many of which are issues they absolutely should be able to address. I can almost guarantee you that no one at EA is working on this problem, and your account won't be fixed unless a support rep does it manually.
So if you want this issue addressed, you'll need to find a support rep that actually understands the problem.

I tried two more agent sand they told me the same thing. This is the problem I keep getting agents who won't help.

Now the agent is telling me the sims 3 store is not compatible with steam. He says "You can not own sims 3 store items, if you have steam"
This is their response.
"Autumn, the Sims 3 is an EA website, it cannot recognize the game on Steam if you do not link your Steam to EA. You can use the Sims 3 website with the same credentials of your Origin account where you had the games on EA previously."I don't know if this is true or not. But the purpose of buying on steam was to get origin off my PC.

@graceymanors It's not true and has never been true. Like many other players, I have a Steam install and use my store content all the time.
Rather than going back and forth with support on this, please wait a couple days for a response, here, from someone from EA. I'm going to try to see if there's anything else that can be done, by you or support.
