(MAC) Can not find Dragon Valley anymore

At the begining of the year I bought dragon valley, Celtic lands and other store items. I installed it and it was working fine. Then I bought the "Generations" EP, uninstalled everything but the base game and the store bought items and words, intalled everything again so I would intall it in order, and now I can't find dragon valley! At first I tried intalling it again, but I got a note saying "Dragon VAlley is already installed" but it is not on the list of worlds. Now it is just nowhere to be found

    Hi

I think that because you uninstalled some games/content and then reinstalled them, your game installation has become muddled. I would recommend that you first try the quick reset by following the instructions under the heading "primary things to try first" on Bluebell's site here:

    http://bluebellflora.com/how-to-play-the-sims-3-on-a-mac/

Once you have moved your current game folder out of Documents and onto your desktop, launch the game so that it will generate a new folder. Now re-download and re-install your Store content. I would start with Dragon Valley to see if you can get it to install. If this procedure doesn't work you can always get back to where you are now by reinstating the old folder from your desktop.

If  you go to documents : electronicarts : sims3 : installedworlds - is there anything with Dragon Valley there? Also in documents : electronicarts : sims3 : downloads - is Dragon Valley there?

If you open your launcher, does it appear in your list of a) downloads and b) installed content?

If I go to documents, etc. I can see dragon Valley is there, but when I launch the game and I try to start a new game the world is not listed there.  It also appears when I open the launcher in the list of downloads; I download it again, just in case. I also went to "my Purchased History" in EA store and downloaded everything again, but they still don't appear.

An interesting note: I have a saved game in Dragon Valley, I opened it and it opened just fine, but everything is named differently, for example a Sim called "Aislin" now says: "Gameplay/Excel/DOT09_World/Sims:Aislin". And if I go to buy mode I can't find anything from the store content... it's as if it's not "read" correclty.

    A couple more things:

    1. When I first bought Dragon Valley it was working just fine, I didn't have a problem then downloading it, something messed up receltly, since I bought "Generations" and "Show Time". When I bought those two EP I uninstalled an reinstalled everything but Store Content, that is what I can't find now. It now says "DOWNLOAD ERROR"

    2. I'm on MAC, OS X, 10.9.2

I've asked our MAC helper to take a look as well.

It is very weird. have you tried uninstalling it, deleting those files and redownloading and installing it?

Does this happen with all the store content?

    Thank you very much Caspinwall:

I did a factory reset but ended up uninstalling everything and installing everything back, starting the installation process with the base game of course and then Dragon Valley and then all of the Expansion Packs in order and one by one and loading the game after each EP was downloaded and intalled to check for updates. It took a while, but it was worth it.

I think that the problem was caused because with the last EP I bought I downloaded everything at the same time, it seems one has to be very patient with this.

Again, thank you for all your help.
