I gave in, installed BootCamp and Windows 7 on my Mac, and installed all the Sims 3 EP & XP up to Seasons... And it works!

Thanks to BluebellFlora and everyone else for the excellent tips and instructions... I didn't think it was the Mac that was my problem!

(PS. EA customer service sucks. I did get an email back after sending several to them, and the answer I got was, "*shrug* Don't like it? Send it back..." Great way to treat someone who has been playing your games since the early 90s!)
