[MAC] into the future crashing

i am using mac osx most current update. i have the most current update for the sims 3 as well. every time i try to send my sim back to the past(present) the loading screen appears and about half way through an error message pops up and i have to restart the application. this happens every single time. is this a common issue? is there a patch i didn't know about? Any ideas on how to fix this are appreciated. and yes ive tried turning my computer off and on again.

  • the error message says

a serious error has occured while loading 'anna.sims3:Bridgeport_0x09ffe3d7'. It is strongly recommended that you restart the application.

    Hi

Go into Documents on your Mac and look inside the folder called "Electronic Arts", then the folder called "The Sims 3", then in "Saves". All your save game files are there. Do you see any that have .bad as the end of the file name? If so, you will need to delete these as they are corrupt. For the particular game you have having trouble with, if there is a backup version of the save file, you might want to try deleting the save and then taking the .backup of the file name of the backup, so that it will use that instead. See if it then works.

Also try loading a different save completely, or start a new game, and test that you don't ge tthe same error with that.
