MAJOR GAME PROBLEMS??! PLEASE HELP

well a game can without having to uninstall and reinstall that to me would be a last resort can be set back to factory settings with out the hassle of uninstalling  give me a few to find the links to what you need to do also you can move the mods the folder and the third party CC to the desktop for safe keeping once you move those folders clear the cache files until you have your game sorted out ,brb a.s.ap.

delete the cach files go to electronic arts/the sims 3/

•compositorCache.package
•scriptCache.package
•simCompositorCache.package
•socialCache.package.package

it's safe to delete these files as a new ones will regenerate

so i should delete those files? and take my mods folder out? I dont really understand

if your going to try the resetting to factory settings the mods folder and the 3rd party CC items must be moved to the desktop and the cache files must cleared other wise something may go wrong with the reset and you'll end up uninstalling and reinstalling in anyways, even then if you where to uninstall and reinstall the mods and  3rd party folder must still be moved to the desktop even if you add a new mod or delete a mod you no longer use the cache files must be cleared in particular the script file ( mods are not supported or endorsed by EA they are an at your own risk )

once you do the factory reset launch your game make sure it runs and plays for you and your happy with it then your mods and 3rd party CC can be put back after you save and quit

yes you need to back up those from the link i sent you  Make a backup of  theSims3 folder in Documents\ElectronicArts to an external drive. or portble drive

then in your documents Rename your theSims3 folder in Documents\ElectronicArts to Sims3_Backup

read the blog to get to grips with it i know the first time i read it my mind boggled as it was new to me i just read and read suddenly the light went on and it made sense

Okay, i'm at testing my game to see if the errors are gone. But when I move the family i just created in, it always freezes. It freezes right when i click accept for the house.

Should i try and reset again?

Okay, so i recently posted about a problem i had and i'm in the process of fixing it. The person told me to reset my game to facotry settings. I am trying to do that, but when i use a random family, my game freezes? I have reset it twice so idk what to do. PLEASE HELP?! I just want my game back. And also, I have placed my mods folder on my desktop so that isn't the problem.

What fies did you change ?

Is the problem with the lunar cycles sovled now ? 

Is this a new game you started where your family freezes or one of your existing ones ? Does the game crash or can you just not do anything ?
