Missing download link

Hello! I bought a couple months ago dragon valley standard edition on EA and I cant seem to download it. I cant find where to even though it says I own it. I also bought a mimic voodoo doll off the sims store but I am missing a download link, it only gives me the option to repurchase it even though its in my purchase history. Could someone help me?

  • stampyrulescm  For Dragon Valley, please see the first post of this master thread:

    [Current Issue] Sims 3 Store world can't register/install | EA Forums - 11143823

You may need to get a refund.  Next time, purchase the world from the website (you can google any world name to find it), and register the code on the Store site, rather than in the EA App.

For the voodoo doll, can you download it from your purchase history?  You can click the Download button just below the thumbnail of the item, or you can check the box to the left of that and click the blue Download button towards the top of the page, on the right.

Please also clear your browser cache, or try a different browser.

If neither of these works, you should at least be able to get back the points you spent on the doll.  EA customer support can't add a world to your account, as far as I've seen, but they can credit points that were spent on a duplicate purchase or one that didn't go through.  Make it clear that you're not asking for a refund of the money you spent to buy the SimPoints, just the points you spent on the doll.

The voodoo doll I have a download link in the purchase history, but when I click it, it says I don't own the item?

  • stampyrulescm  Try a different browser, for example Firefox works well with the Store.  Or try your current browser but in a private/incognito window.  And refresh the page each time you try.

Does the voodoo doll show as owned on the product page?  If so, you can try downloading there too.

Finally, a few users say they have to sign into the launcher to download their Store content.  It shouldn't be necessary, and I don't understand why it would be (other than an issue with the game entitlements, or using a different account to install Sims 3 than what's linked to the Store site), but that would be an easy fix.

Thanks for responding, I tried contacting EA in regards to dragon valley and they said that they weren't able to refund me, or credit me any simpoints, stating they have no power over that and that they are also the highest in management in regards to that, and to simply just wait for a fix. I've been having this issue since 2023 (I just checked when I bought it, time sure flies), and have record of multiple support chat attempts of it. As per the voodoo doll I did try a different browser but it still shows when I click on the voodoo doll as unowned but in my purchase history and I remember buying it since I got the magic book (which I was able to download) I remember when I originally bought the voodoo doll and dragon valley having the option to download it, but when I tried I got an error, I also mentioned it to support and they said they couldn't help me either or credit me, I feel like I got scammed. Do you have any advice of where I should go from here?

    Hey there stampyrulescm

Since we haven't got access to your account information or billing details here on the forums, we wouldn't be able to check your refund eligibility or get a refund processed for you.

I'd recommend reaching back out to the live support team so they can take another look at your billing information- please be sure to attach this forum conversation when you reach out so the team has more information to reference on this.
