Mermadic Kelp not working

I've been playing Island Paradise since it came out and never had an issue till now... I don't use mods and I have all the expansions...

I use the family funds cheat to get the money to achive my sims lifetime reward and then buy the mermadic kelp from there and it has always worked, until now and now my sim says that it was tasty but she doesn't feel any different... I have tried to make different sims and put them into different towns but nothing is working.
