"Missing executable" for Sims 3 on Steam

I bought the game through Steam but got re-directed here. I have tried everything that is here. Nothing works. I have the University Life DLC.

Thanks for any suggestions

I un-installed it again and re-installed it. It now works. I still have no idea why it didnt work in the first palce.

May I ask, when you go to ...\Steam\Steamapps\common\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe - is there a .exe folder?

did you try in steam if it's in the library right click the game-properties-in the tabs find the local files tab -verify integrity game cache you can also in that tab use the browse local files to see if it'll bring up the folder for the game in the Steam-steam -local apps
