missing Items
I am missing a lot of items. What can I do to fix this? - i also can't go to other town I wasn't sure if I uninstalled and reinstall that it would take away my progress ...

@marebu Which items are missing? Are all of your expansion and stuff packs loading, or are some of those missing too? The easiest way to tell is to go into Buy mode and click the button to filter by pack. It's on the right side of the user interface, and any pack that's loaded will be listed there. Don't save your progress with the items missing, or start a new save to test.
As for going to another town, do you mean sending your sim to travel, or using the in-game Move function to move to a new town, or starting a new save?
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game shouldn't delete your saves or other user data, but it's best to back up that data anyway. It's all in the Sims 3 folder inside Documents > Electronic Arts.
