i'm glad to hear you got a lot fixed with the live chats and what is on the disks good question as far as i can remember with the monte vista one on the disk is the read here for info here and the time i bought barnacle bay was a code in the box but on the site when you buy barnacle bay it's supposed to come with a 100 free simpoints and when i bought hidden springs that too was a code in box but the code when used gave me the simpoints which were tied to buying the world if that last bit about hidden springs makes sense as you can see hidden springs is a bit tricky to work out as one either gets the simpoints to buy the world (which is what they are for duh ) or the world goes straight to the purchase history as the points have been redeemed for them by entering the code either way
edit to add the shipments may have only been sent yesterday (tuesday ) so youll get an email saying the items are shipped if the shipment tracking starts with MI you can track here http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/
I pulled the discs out and try to installed them. On each disc an installer popped and run though an installation routine. On each installation when I click finish it pulls open the Origin client. Also, launching Sims 3 became problematic, with the launcher would sometimes (read often), have an error and not even load. A couple of times I actually got to the Launcher with the Welcome screen, uploads/downloads, but it would then error out and have to be closed. On one of these I got a request for a code for Hidden Springs but before I could enter it the launcher froze and I had to close it.
After that last failure to launch I ran the super patcher which I have downloaded (and learned to run after every installation of a new expansion or stuff pack) and everything is cleared up. I haven't even been asked to entered the for Hidden Springs.
Clicking on the start button I am taken to the Load screen where I choose a currently saved game or create a new one. Hidden Springs is showing up but not Monte Vista. Is Monte Vista a World Adventures world? Also, the worlds Midnight Hallow, Sunlit Tides, and Aurora Skies are also now showing on on the Worlds list with an option to buy them but Lunar Lakes and Lucky Palms are showing up there, nor is the soon to be release Roaring Heights.
Anyway, I decided to check the disc's themselves and I discovered my version actually had the worlds on them in a directory called Packs. The Hidden Valley pack file is the same size has the downloaded one. The rep had made where I could download both worlds when was fixing all of my registration issues and I went ahead and downloaded them though I did NOT install them. Now the Monte Vista world that's on the disc is around 6 megs larger in size then the one I downloaded. I'm thinking it might have the Wood Fire Oven has part of the world file itself and if this is true, it means the the Hidden Springs disc did not have the Fountain of Youth on it because both the disc version and the download versions are the same size and I know the download version the Fountain is a separate download, which I have. Luckily I can download it thanks to the helpful rep. Now I need to decide if I want to try and install Monte Vista manually by copying file from disc into my downloads directory. If I do that and my hunch is correct, I'll have the Wood Fire Oven. If I install the downloaded version, I will not have it because The Sims 3 site will not let me download it which means another chat with the reps.
I've also discovered a problem with my Installed Content in the Launcher. Well, it most likely is not a problem. It lists Dragon Valley there twice. Once has an object and again as a world. I think I have several other items in there listed twice but I have not noticed anything listed twice in the buy mode lists.
Now in the Downloads Dashboard it is completely different. It saying the Hidden Springs, Monte Vista, and Dragon Valley are al NOT installed. Looks like another trip into the Forums to see if I can find an answer there. Baka. I just remember, I DID install the downloaded version of Hidden Springs so I don't know if the Disc version actually installed or not. [ growls ] That's OK. When the rest of my orders arrive I am planning on installing everything on my Desktop. I'll find out then if it installs or not. (Right now I have it all installed on my Laptop.)
Has for has tracking my shipments. Doing it with this past week orders being both a tear of hilarity and groan of despair.
Last week, the week of Thanksgiving, I decided to buy some items for my game. On Monday I was in the Store and on Origin looking at Items and for whatever reason which I can not remember I decided to order the World Bundle. I ordered it and soon had a shipping notice that told me it would arrive on Monday Dec 2nd.
Then on Wensday, I was once again online looking at items, working on my personal wishlist of what I wanted to buy and in what ordered I wanted them and suddenly I gave in and did a MASSIVE order. Worlds Adventures download (only option allowed), with Ambitions, Seasons, Supernatural, and Master Suite all on disc. I should have order the Expansion Pack on disc instead of Worlds downloads. I would gotten Worlds AND Generation on disc for the same price as Worlds downloads. baka baka baka
It was towards the end of the day I did receive a notice that my order was processing but I never got a shipment notice. I figure it was because of the holiday.
This is where it get sad. On Friday I log in and receive a message from Origin in the Client of a massive Black Friday sale with up to 60% savings. [ whimpers whimpers ] and decide to check it. I was very quickly crying over the savings I had missed out on. I ended up spending the last of my hoard and brought Generations (DD), Outdoor Living (DD), Barnacle Bay (DD), Dragon Valley (DD), and Island Paradise (Disc), leaving me $1.15 in my PayPal account. If I had not made the order on Wensday, I would have saved enough that I could also have brought Lunar Lakes (DD), Sunlit Tides (DD), Pets, (Disc), AND gotten both World Adventures AND Generations on Disc via the Expansion Bundle and had a little over $15 left in Pay Pal. ARGH!
Lynn, my other half is alternatively laughing hilariously and berating for such a waste. (I'm on a limited income, full disability, my hoard is from a few odd jobs I've done for a friend helping to freshen up houses the company he works for buys and rents. I don't make a lot from it, could never make a living but it gives me a little extra cash which I have been hoarding away.) My new laptop was an approved purchase by the trustee of my disability account. She knew my old notebook was old, slow and had a screen a little too small. This one was a lot more expensive then what we was looking to spend but she agreed that it was worth every penny, approved it and brought it for me. I consider it a late birthday present to myself.
Anyway, I got notices on Monday that both of the outstanding orders was shipped. Interestingly enough, more order from Wensday will be arriving on Monday the 9th yet order from Black Friday is due to arrive TODAY!
[ sighs ] Sorry for the rambling.
I really need to get the rest of my SimPoints that I am owed so I can do some major shopping in the Store and I am going to need those points.

ramble away sometimes thats good to do as it gets a load off the chest 🙂 any store world shos up in the main menu +new game to start playing with now as to the worlds showing up as to buy that has been know to happen too usually the soloution is to
sometimes when you start the game you see a little money icon next to your world although you already bought and installed it this is just the ingame store not recognizing properly that you have already bought it.
from crins FAQ Scroll down further down the list to see if there's a second version that doesn't have the icon to start a new game with. You can also turn off the ingame shop in your options and then it should only appear once, if store items that have been downloaded and installed still do not appear there is another work around for that
store worlds once they show up in your purchase history can be downloaded anytime but here's a tip for you in your the electronics arts /the sims 3 there is a folder named downloads any store item you buy and download the file for it is there (just open it to see your files then close it ) here's the tip you can make a copy of that folder as a back up and any time you download something make a fresh copy of the folder so that if you ever have to do a clean reinstall you can just install your store items from your back up copy of the downloads folder
believe you me i so understand about trying to get a few bob together for getting our little pixelated items i have to budget too sometimes it can take me 3 months to get a $20 ea cash card but i'm like a kid at christmas when i get that card :D
now some times the issues of not downloading is switching browsers to IE or firefox also clearing the internet cache
now as for the helpers here we will do what we can to get most problems solved that is within our grasp others it is the CS people espically when it comes to looking at accounts and fixing up the simpoints issues etc etc

Actually they was for Worlds I do not own though they are on my list to aquire eventually. They had the little coins next to them and if I choose one of them it would give me the option to buy it and told me how many SimPoints they cost. It was the first time I have ever seen it. They do not show up anylonger, not since I went ahead and installed the download verson of Monte Vista. Has far as turning off the ingame shop, I can not find the option to turn it off and it really doesn't brother me that much since I usually play off line not online.
Has far as the download directory, I find that the very first day and was copying anything and everything I was downloading, all of my bonus content, rewards content and everything else. I have it all saved and originze so if I ever have to reinstall I can without having to connect and redownload. It's going to come in very handy when the rest of my purchased disc's arrive. I am going to install it on my desktop which though it has the same 4gb ram my laptop has, it has a much better video graphics setup and it's processor is a 6 core 3.2ghz Intel where the laptop is only a dual core 2,2ghz Intel. The desktop also has a slightly larger screen. It's 20" where the laptop is only 17". I've also found where the Origin Client REALLY downloads and stores the installers and have backup the 3 Direct Download Packs I own.

- Open the file [user data directory]\Options.ini with notepad (or any other editor)
- Search for the following line: enableingamestore = and put 0 to turn the ingame store off and 1 to turn it on.
- Save the file
- Start the game
