@Mrsjlabel I'm not sure whether a testingcheats deletion of the bed will work, but you can always try. Open the cheat console (crtl-shift-c) and enter "testingcheatsenabled true" without the quotes. Then shift-click the bed, or the space where the bed should be, and if it works, you'll get a menu that offers the option to object-delete. Be sure to turn off the cheat ("testingcheatsenabled false") when you're done. It's also a good idea to save before doing this, in case you accidentally delete something else instead.
One other thing to try is to delete the five cache files in your TS3 game folder in Documents. These files should be deleted regularly and will regenerate each time you launch the game. For reference, they are:
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package
If this doesn't help either, the only other way I can think of to fix this in a modless game is to go to Edit Town, evict your sim family, save the house to the bin, bulldoze the lot, replace the house with the bin copy, and move the family back in. If you do all of this in one Edit Town session, your sims will keep their jobs and relationships but lose their promised dreams and opportunities. Again, it would be good to save before trying this, or better yet, "save as" and rename the save so that you have a backup copy to revert to if you don't like the results.
