My D: disk drive says it has no bytes left when I put in my sims 3 disk.

I recently bought a new computer and I loaded on Origin and Sims 3 fine and it played okay for a while, but then it started saying my disk drive was getting full and that it couldn't play the disk. The memory capacity says its completely full. I have googled it and I couldn't find anything that was helpful.

I wondered if anyone knew how I could free up some memory?

    My computer is a PC.

And its stopped giving me an error message and just won't open.

I can't remember the exact message it gave me but it was along the lines of my disk drive memory being full and if I look at my disk drives properties tells me that the memory left is 0 bytes free of 6.93 GB.

Okay, I have managed to get my Dxdiag. Is there a specific section you would like to look at?

This is the section for the disk drive:

The game should really just use the disc to verify your game so I don't know why it would check for space on the disc.

Could you post your CPU and graphics card part as as well.

  • All looks ok.

Could you post a screen shot of myComputer ? You can black out any names you don't want to show but make sure it shows all your drives (how full they are) and what letters they have.

To do so, upload the picture to some sharing site and link it here

If you don't want to post that publicly, you can send me an PM with the link and I'll look at you, then tell you when you can remove it again.
