My neighborhood is black??
Hi, so I got the Sims 3 and all of the expansions the other day. I decided to install them all today and see how things would run. The game loads up and runs fine, but as soon as a neighborhood finis...

so go to this site here http://support.amd.com/en-us/download if your not sure of the values to put in use the auto detect and install once you download and install the update for your graphics it's a good idea to restart the computer usually you get a message to say so but if don't restart in anyways
although i'm not familiar with that card so i'm not a 100 % sure if it can cope with the games are not will ask in the helper's corner about that

OK, I did all of that and it says my drivers are up to date but the neighborhood is still black. So I'm assuming its the video card?
it's not always the card in some cases yes because the card cannot cope or in some case's there are two graphics the chip that comes with computers and a designated video card so the game may not know which one to work from or the card is not recognized by the game and has to be "told" which one to work from there can also be other reasons/issues for a black screen I'll post in the helpers corner to get you some more help

Okay, thank you. Is there some way for me to see what the computer is trying to use and can I correct it?
in the electronic arts folder/thesims3 find the DeviceConfig file ( this is mine in the image ) find/scroll to the Graphics device info then close the notepad page (if you accidently which can happen change something in the notepad page when closing it will ask you do you want to save the changes click on the don't save )
