My one saved game got deleted

I have been playing the sims 3 for a long time and in all my years of playing, this has never happened, until today. I was playing a specific save game that I've been playing for a long time and when i logged on this morning it was gone. There are the save files in the save folder, but it won't show up in game. I'm very upset and want it back. I have an Alienware M16 gaming laptop. I can attach a file of my dxdiag and a picture of my save file as well.

Delete the saves that end in .bad, since they're not recoverable.  Then delete the .backup from the other save, so the folder is just labeled Hammer.sims3 , and it should be available to load at the Main Menu.

Before you actually try to play it though, I would strongly suggest making a copy of this backup.  When a save goes bad, sometimes it's random, but more often, that means it's been getting increasingly corrupt and may break again soon.  So if you run into the same issue before too long, you'll still have this intact backup to revert to.

On the subject of save corruption, let me know if you'd like to talk about how to try to prevent it, which basically means adding some mods to do most of the work for you.

Separately, I can see that OneDrive is syncing your files.  If you don't want this to happen, I have a guide to getting rid of OneDrive the proper way and without losing any data.
