my sim is invisible, but i can still control him

last night i was playing and saw that one of my sims' icons wasn't showing in other sims' thought bubbles or in any wishes, but his portrait was still visible. i decided to reload and now he's invisi...

@primaryspace I also had Sims disappearing in Sims 3. Most of the times I used the resetsim option to make them visible again or re-appear.
