@elimaximoff If you need help with your game, please describe what you're seeing when you try to play, for example when the game crashes and whether you get an error message. Please also list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the OS and except for the serial number.
Finally, please list the expansion and stuff packs you currently have installed and the world(s) in which you're trying to play.
Hey there,
I have the same issue here... My save isn't that old but I have built my own house in Monte Vista which I'm trying to decorate etc. And especially when moving things from the family inventory to the house my game just suddenly crashes. It had crashed already before that occasionally but right now it's almost impossible to finish this house in build-mode...
I do have store content and the additional towns downloaded from the internet for free, so that could be a reason but it would hurt to have to remove them.
My addons are Pets, Late Night, World Adventures, Ambitions, Generations, Seasons, Supernatural, University Life, Island Paradise, Town Life Acc.
My specs:
MacBook Air 2024, 15 inch
Apple M3, 16GB RAM
MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1.
I also have some NRAAS mods.
Thank u already D:

@Rominaroe I can't help with a game that has any cracked content at all, sorry. But if you're willing to remove that content, and you still get crashes, try placing the items first without rotating them, then picking them up again.

Hey again, I understand your saying... I tried building in my house now with no mods installed and it instantly crashed after placing some items. I couldn't even place one item after taking it out of the inventory...
I also created a new sim in a different town like apaloosa plains and tried to build there for a few minutes and nothing happened. So maybe the specific save is the problem? I did move them from their old home to the one I built myself but I had no issues building it in the city-edit mode. It did crash a few times but not that bad. I'm lost :')

@AnNaChocolate04 Try placing the sims on a different lot in the same save. And try a different household within this save. Separately, save their current house to your library and try placing it in a different save. Let me know whether you can build in either case. The idea here is to try to isolate the cause of the problem: the house, the lot it's on, something about the save or these particular sims.
You can use "save as" for your main save and rename it so you don't overwrite the original.

Okay, so I tried your steps;
building with my family on a different lot still had crashes.
building with an other family in the same save didn't crash.
I copied the household with the house into a new save, and on a different lot, and currently I can build with no sudden crash...
So maybe it was the lot? I did actually use a lot from a park, which I had then moved elsewhere to build my house on it. Probably a bad idea.
Hopefully it'll stay like that. Thank you very much :'))

Okay nevermind...
I tried to place a bike stand and had to try around with my bushes and flowers and it crashed again :')

@AnNaChocolate04 So you're saying that building with this family already living on a lot, in a new save, led to a crash? Did you use BuyDebug items or any custom content?
Building on a former park lot isn't necessarily a problem on its own, but it can mean that some spawners are still present. These spawners would survive even after you saved the house to the bin and placed it in a different save. You might need cheats or a mod to remove them fully. But that should of course not be a problem on a lot that starts out blank in a new save.

yes, i placed the family together with the house in a new save, same town, but on a different lot. I could play a little longer but then it crashed again.
I also used to try a completely other save, with different sims in a different town and it actually crashed there too in the building mode.
I didn't use buydebug but I do have store content and some functional mods, no cc.
It's weird because this fast crashes just popped up. Like I said, it did crash sometimes but not this frequently...

@AnNaChocolate04 Is there any pattern to what you're doing when the game crashes? For example, pulling items out of household inventory and trying to rotate them without placing them down first is a known issue. It's probably not the only trigger though, so any information about a potential pattern would be helpful.
Separately, try playing with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi before pressing Play.

That's pretty hard to define. I noticed that when I take an item out of the inventory and try to rotate my camera, it crashes! It's just when I'm holding items from the inventory. The same thing happens in my other save.
But placing the item (rotating it before placing seems to be ok), grabbing it again and then rotating my camera still makes my game crash.
I also tested that in a random family in a new save and the same thing is happening, ao the inventory seems to be buggy ig.another thing though is that when I am on the second floor of any house and I zoom out, my screen is blinking red, in builing as well as in livemode.
Already thank u for ur help 🙂

@AnNaChocolate04 The problem with rotating objects before placing them is a known issue, and I thought I'd mentioned it in this thread, but looking back, I guess not. (I probably answer too many threads in general.) You've already found the workaround, whch is to place the objects and then pick them up again before rotating them.
For the red flashing, try enabling object hiding, which is an option with the other graphics settings.

Actually you did mention that aspect but it doesn't seem to be the problem. I can rotate the objects themselves. It's the camera rotation that makes my game crash. That's really tricky because it doesn't matter if I had placed the item in the house, picked it up again and then tried to turn my camera, it still crashes. I guess the only workaround for that is that I haba to sell all my inventory items and to place them new.
I do wonder what the reason for this problem is...I'll try changing that setting!
thank you very much for yor time!

@AnNaChocolate04 You should be able to rotate the camera while not holding an object, right?
Yes and I can rotate it while holding objects that weren't in the inventory but from the store menu.
