My Sims 3 game keeps freezing and crashing during Create-a-sim!

I split your post so you have your own thread.

I would undo DEP and UAC and set them back to default. It's better for the stability of your Windows. DEP has been fixed and is no longer needed. Your problem lies elsewhere.

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.
