My sims wont go to work

So I am playing the sims 3 with a really large family, however non of them seem to go to work, it just says starts in 3 days or 2 days depending on the sims. I've tried changing the work clothes and getting rid of any 2nd ones, I've tried deleting the lot and then placing it back down again. I am playing with mods and around 20 sims atm. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

@Sophieking2004  If you want to try one more thing, NRaas DebugEnabler might help.  Install it, click on City Hall, and select:

NRaas > DebugEnabler > Sim > Fix Homeworld

By rabbitholes, I actually meant the buildings, which include the actual rabbithole (as in, the object) with a shell on top of it.  So I was suggesting you bulldoze the lots that host your sims' workplaces.  But if you do want to keep trying, DE is more likely to help.

  • @Sophieking2004  I take it the two or three days until work doesn't go down, or else resets before it's an actual work day?  If you have NRaas MasterController installed, try resetting the sims that won't go to work.  Click on an affected sim and select:

NRaas > MC > Advanced > Reset Sim

If that doesn't help, try forcing one sim to quit their job and then give it back to them.  You can do so with MC as well, and even give them their previous level.  You may also need to remove quit careers in between; you can test with and without this step if you want.

    NRaas > MC > Intermediate > Career > Quit

NRaas > MC > Intermediate > Career > Remove Quit Careers

NRaas > MC > Intermeciate > Career > Choose Job

    NRaas > MC > Intermediate > Career > Level

You do need the MC Cheats add-on for the second and fourth commands.

So I've tried doing what you said and it's still not letting them work, after I reset one of my sims it still said starts in 2 days or something, I then did the career thing using mc and its still says starts in 2 days? Any ideas?

    Thanks anyway for trying

@Sophieking2004  Just to clarify, after removing and adding the job with MC, did the time until the work shift ever diminish?  It might say "starts in 2 days" at the beginning, depending on that job's work hours; I'm wondering whether the sim could eventually go to work at all.

If the time until work never decreased, please try the MC method again, except this time, quit the game after you use "remove quit careers" and before you give the sim their job again.  In fact, do this with at least two different sims.  You can use "save as" to rename the save so your original remains intact under its previous name.  After quitting, delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 user folder:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

When you reload, give one sim their job, but for now, don't increase their level.  Give another sim a different career, preferably one that no other sim in your current household has had.  Let me know whether either sim eventually goes to work; like I said, it might take a couple days.

You can also try the above along with deleting the rabbithole lots where the sims should work: delete them before quitting and don't place them again until after you reload.

Another thought I had was that perhaps a holiday is stuck, whether one of the Seasons holidays or someone's high school graduation (from Generations).  If you think this may be the case, or if this problem started immediately after a holiday or graduation, let me know.

Right so, I did what you said and, once a day went by the timer would go right back up however an hour before they were supposed to go to work it would say that the carpool would come pick them up. I tried to delete the rabbit holes but I couldn't find them so I had to quit the world. If I remember correctly my sims had a graduation before it all started? Thanks for helping 🙂

@binugget00  So you've tried every single step listed in the thread, including using NRaas DebugEnabler's Fix Homeworld command, and your sims still can't go to work?  What happens when they try?  How many sim-days has it been since they could work?
