Neighbourhood Pet Adoption -

I am a long-term fan of the Sims franchise. I purchased Seasons last week - brilliant gameplay. There is only one tiny 'problem' that ruins it for me, and I was wondering whether there was some kind of solution to it.

My inactive families keep putting pets up for adoption. Not just one of them, but nearly all of my inactive families do this. And it's not just one pet either. Often when I switch back and forth between families, they suddenly have two horses and a puppy litter in their household. This is slowly rendering my game to absolute nonsense.

I am aware that there is a mod to do this (Overwatch) but I have played 'vanilla' for all of these years and I'd like to keep it that way. Is there any possibility that there is some kind of cheat code I can use to stop the random spawning of neighbourhood pet adoption offers? I would hate to retort to deleting The Sims 3 Pets completely, but I am getting really tired of the current situation.

Hoping to hear from someone soon!

    Hi,

Have you already tried to untick the box for "Pets" in the "Advanced Demographics Options"?

This should prevent pets populating your world via story progression.

    Hope that helps!

My entire story progression is switched off, so that can't be it, unfortunately.

Is the rest of the StoryProgression really turned off or did you see any other oddities with stuff that shouldn't happen if SP is off ?
