No 64bit on Mac

It seems that no matter what the EA consultants do, the 64bit version bizarrely won't show in my EA app!

Three agents have tried and said the 64bit version should be showing for me, but it's simply not there in my library. I had it unlocked before on an old M1 laptop, and really enjoyed playing the updated version, but unfortunately I don't have that laptop anymore. Naively I assumed that when I installed my new laptop the 64bit version would still be showing on my EA app, but alas... (Picture of my library attached for reference)

Things I've tried: restarting the EA app, reinstalling the EA app, EA app recovery, uninstalling the 32bit version of the Sims 3.

Hardware specs: currently on a MacBook Pro with an M5 chip, using the EA app on the latest version.

If anybody knows anything to help, that would be beyond welcome... I have been craving to play Sims 3 for weeks now!!! Bought my original copy all the way back in 2012 and now it's unusable... I had hundreds of played hours back in the day on Origin :,)

  • teawithbrie_  Are you sure that's not the 64-bit version you're seeing?  The game tile doesn't say 64-bit for anyone.  What happens if you try to download it?  If you can in fact install the game, it's the 64-bit version, since the 32-bit version has an installer that is also 32-bit and wouldn't run on your Mac.

  • teawithbrie_  It did say 64-bit back in the Origin days, and I have an old screenshot of that:

A partial guide to 64-bit Sims 3 for macOS (in progress) | EA Forums - 11190066

But because the EA App only supports macOS Catalina (10.15) and newer, and Catalina was the first OS that couldn't run 32-bit apps at all, I guess there was no reason to maintain the distinction.  The EA App seems to have lost a lot of older game tiles in favor of only having one per game.

For moving the camera, try switching to windowed mode and back to fullscreen (bring up the graphics options and click cmd-enter), and try disabling and enabling Edge Scrolling.  If you're using game mode, try disabling that too.  It wouldn't be active in windowed mode, just fullscreen.

And to be clear, does right-clicking a bit of terrain center the camera there?  Or is that not working either?  Are you using a third-party mouse, an Apple mouse, or only the trackpad?

Edit:  I just saw your edit, and I wanted to mention that TinyUI has its own issues, including conflicting with some NRaas mods.  That's not to say you can't use it, but if you run into problems, that should be the first suspect.

Oh, that's odd! I remember it saying 64bit on the Origin app, and the agents did confirm to me it's supposed to say 64bit and a later release year... It does run though!
Although for some reason it is not letting me use WASD keys or anything on my mouse to move the camera... Any tips for that?

Edit: nvm, adjusted my TinyUIFix and I can move!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!!! Thank you for your very patient help puzzlezaddict <3
