I have suggested this to everyone who has come into this thread looking for assistance, but unfortunately, it is mostly being reported as ineffective for the majority of players affected by the no sound bug. But thank you for taking the time to post your experience with adjusting the audio configuration. I need all the data and information that I can get my hands on. :)
No problem -- I was looking for how to fix the problem because I'm on a Mac so all your wonderful work probably wouldn't help me one bit anyway. :?
