1. How does it affect your game? Exactly what objects and interactions can you hear and not hear? Singing will go in and out, no music with karaoke machine.
2. Do you notice any particular object/interaction that seems to trigger the issue? No.
3. Are your sound issues consistent? Same missing sounds each and every time, or does it vary? It varies.
4. When does it affect your game? The minute your begin playing, or a few hours in? Its completely random, I could go a whole day without an issue, then all of a sudden it will happen.
5. How often your notice the issue? Does the sound come and go, or once it goes is it gone for good for that session? Not often, it comes and goes. And it usually fixes it self.
6. Does the issue occur during every gaming session? No.
7. What, if anything, do you remember doing different during a session when you do not appear to have the issue that day? I don't play any differently. So nothing.
8. Does being logged in or not logged in to your account make a difference in the frequency of the no sound issue? Nope.
9. Does this issue only affect your game, once a sim in the singing career reaches a certain level?
10. Have you had the issue the entire time that you have played The Sims 3 Showtime EP, or did the issue just recently begin? It started a few days after patching 1.31 to 1.32.
Also, I never had this issue before with my sims 3 game. And it does not effect all sound in my game, just singing. If someone could tell me if my audio is outdated that would be great! I don't know how to disect these dxdiags.

Your audio driver is updated with a listed date of 3/10/2012. You'll have to wait to see what suggestion/solution that EA will come up with.
In the mean time, you can also check your in-game audio settings in the 'Option' menu under the speaker tab, and try setting your audio quality to 'high' and make sure that you have selected the proper speaker setup for your audio configuration.
